      #13371 - Fri Sep 26 2003 08:31 PM

Has anybody here ever been to Holloween Horror Nights at Islands of Adventure. Did you like or dislike it? I'm thinking about going with some friends this year...so opinions are welcome.

Hey Kevin, I lived literally next door to Universal for about 10 months this past year and went there all the time.

HHNs is really fun, I would go, but one caveat.... The peak nights (as they are called) are jammed packed, as in filled to capacity packed. Lines are long, etc. If you can go, really aim for one of the non peak nights. If you have to go on a peak night, just pace yourself.

I'll be back in Orlando myself and going to it on the 16th. (A non-peak night)

Best place on the web I know for Universal/IOA Info is www.ioacentral.com (Unofficial, but very cool and I know the folks that run it)

Holloween Horror Nights is the best ever if you get the speed passes. It costs another 30 or 40 bucks but it is sooooo worth it. You get one ticket for each ride that is open and one ticket for each haunted house and you speed right past all the lines that are waiting. The longest we stood in line for a ride or haunted house was maybe 15 minutes but most the time it was only 10 minutes or less. I have been there without the speed pass and you can not even get to half the haunted houses because of the 1 hour or longer wait at each ride and haunted house. Pay the extra and now this year both parks will be open for haunted houses.......Be afraid, be very afraid.........

I am going to go to holloween horror nights this year myself
it is bigger this year than any year before it because it is going to be in both parks this year which will be crazy and
also all the old characters will be there this year like the evil clown ,the care taker and the director of last year!
Holloween horror nights I think is one of the best holloween
events to go to. I myself have never been to one this will be
my first time but Universal is the master of horror they are the
ones that invented it so I think it will be a blast also
I had friends that went last year and they told me it is something not to be missed they loved it!1

I went last year for the first time in a few years. I LOVED IT!!! I went with my brother. I am deathly afraid of clowns and they had a haunted house with nothing but clowns. Needless to say, I was literally running through the house trying to get out with tears streaming down my face. One of the workers in the house even stopped me to see if I wanted to exit out early but when I saw that they had a mask on - I wasn't going anywhere with them!!
I went on Halloween night (which was a Friday) it was very busy and long lines. We are going this year hopefully on Sunday, October 17. I am hoping that on a work night, it won't be so bad.

My opinion - you should go!!! You need to leave any fears at the door though - people will jump out at you all throughout the park. Worth the money.

I might be down on the 10th of October and can do this, not sure yet. When I was living in Orlando I was right at Kirkman and Conroy (about 3 blocks away from Universal) and went there very often.

Hey Kevin holloween horror nights is lots of fun. In fact I just went last night. Just go early, which is around 5 or 6:00 p.m. and you won't meet the late crowd. I don't want to give out too much info. on holloween horror nights so i'll give you a clue,
go to the VAMPIRE SCARE HOUSE!!!!!!!!!! It looks so realistic and you'll be scared out of your mind. The only thing though is that because it's so cool it takes about 90 minutes to get in the house. But, it's worth it! Go have some fun boy!!!!!!
