No doubt there is something going on in the Western Caribbean around 18N and 82W. The latest GFDL run is of interest as it has the system going through my front door here in New Orleans in 78 hours as a 60 knot tropical storm. Surely bears some watching.

As of 5 PM,the disturbance that was moving through the Caribbean was upgraded to Tropical Depression One. I expect Tropical Storm Arlene to form later tonight or tomorrow morning.
