I tend to agree, but we don't have the $ value of real estate that Miami does. Nonetheless, if they were talking "loss of life", it's New Orleans hands down. In the worst case storm, only 2/3rds of the population would even evacuate. There are enough doomsday scenarios with Cat 3's that could put the city under 15-20' of water in a heartbeat. And many of the urban poor don't have a clue how to swim.

On the other hand, it would be pretty fitting if the city died off due to a major storm.
