betsy had a weird path for an intense hurricane. dont bet on seeing something like that in the rest of your lifetime.
on a similar note.. westward moving hurricanes hitting the east coast.. really anywhere from the keys to the mid atlantic.. have been less common in the last half century than in previous times. i wonder when this trend will reverse or at least normalize.
