Re: Indian Ocean Tropical Systems

In the South Indian Ocean, the cyclone season runs from December through March, although storms can form at any time in the year. Each season can expect around 11 tropical systems, of reach 4 will reach hurricane strength.

In the North Indian Ocean, systems generally form from October through May, October normally being the month of greatest activity. On average, 6 systems form per year.
