Area of Interest - Hurricane Katia

Tropical Depression 12 located in the eastern Atlantic near 10N 30W, moving to the west at 12 knots, continues to slowly organize under northeasterly windshear. The shear should slowly relax on Tuesday and with SSTs at about 29C additional development is likely. Movement to the west and west northwest should continue. Here is a good satellite link that can be used to monitor the progress of TD 12:

EUMETSAT Atlantic

ADDED: Looking a little better at 30/04Z - possible center location of 10.9N 31.1W but not certain. Movement does seem to be to the west.
