And, with Katrina coming ashore in southeastern Florida (??) why do we have a map all the way up to SC/southern GA? We could have a little more detail if the maps zeroed in on the forecast area more.




Zoomed landfall maps can be found at SkeetobiteWeather.com and have not yet been made available for use by forum administrators.

The addition of the windfields to these maps was designed to replace the 3D cone affect from last year. Although it is a popular feature, many more asked that it be removed than asked that it stay... Personally, I loved it.
