Re: Still Quiet in the Tropics

While we watch the Caribbean and the tropical wave that is passing through. There has been a persistant area of convection in the South Central GOM.
It's difficult to tell at this point whether it's a trough trying to set up or if there is something other than a thunderstorm complex brewing.

Appears to be centered near 27.8N/ 92.0W, or in that general area.

Easily seen at the bottom of the Weather Channel Tropical Updates as an area of orange to red-orange.
