Late Season STS Melissa Forecast Lounge

Some of the models bring this system to hurricane intensity toward the end of the upcoming week. Since the system is currently non-tropical that would be a rapid transition. Invest 98L has an excellent chance of becoming a hybrid subtropical storm in a couple of days. This is the place for your thoughts on the long-term organization and intensification (if any) of this system.

Named sub-tropical storm Melissa this morning. It certainly looks sub-tropical on the sat images, and a bit like a mid-latitude storm with the comma shape and dry air wrapping in.
