Something forming near South Florida?

I read a post yesterday about a met feeling this area should be monitored. Today the clouds from the SE Gulf to the Bahamas look sort of tropical. Just wondering if there's a low forming there. I haven't seen any info to suggest that yet though.

I know a met who said a weak system could form. He is usually incredibly good. If you look at the various sats youll see something is going on... and pressures remain low, nothing is moving

if this hangs around another day or so ... have a problem trying to see how it wouldnt start to do something

That was what I thought when I looked at the GOM sat earlier. We're getting some good rain right now.

Looking at the Key West short range & long range radars it appears that there may be a weak surface low developing south of the lower Keys, just barely drifting west. Most of the precip is on the east & northeast side, but definetly seems like there is a weak circulation there., maybe a homebrew (close in) in the making?

Yeah, you can definitely make out the circulation on the radar loop to the west of the main showers, along with the westward movement. It's harder to see that on the sat loop. Tropical weather and the Gulf have been a volitile mix recently. Let's hope it stays a harmless, drifting blob of showers.

The convection is sure firing up this afternoon. Someone mentioned the possibility of development along the front exiting the East Coast tomorrow. Any change this will get tangled up with that?

It's trying to get it's act together for sure. Heading north more so now. The doppler radar is showing a lot of showers just off the E/SE FL coast.
