Re: 93L Conditions in your Area

Current conditions here in Cutler Ridge, Miami, Florida are as follows:
Currently 81 Degrees Farenheit
Dew Point: 70 Degrees Farenheit
Humidity: 68%
Visibility: 10 miles
Pressure: 29.90 in and steady
Winds: From the North East at 15 mph

10 Day Forcast calls for: Rain, Rain, Rain and more Rain, with a touch of scattered thunderstorms at least until next thursday (According to Weather Channel)

Currently: Scattered Showers and the wind tends to speed up every once in a while here, we had a few squals earlier, something that reminded me of a quick, fast paced rainstorm with wind associated. A few rumbles of thunder in the area, right now, nothing too bad.

totally subjective observation

Its 11:20PM in New Smyrna Beach and the wind has suddenly really picked up with heavy rain for about 5min. The bands from this system pack a nice little punch I would say, some named systems did not to as well I think.

Re: 93L Conditions in your Area

No rain on the West Coast, yet, except some hit or miss cells moving through rapidly-mostly South and East of here-really nothing to speak of, but had a steady 17mph wind with higher gusts most of the day when the ULL was passing overhead. We are looking forward to getting a pretty fair rain event over the next two days as the Surface Level Low begins moving over the state. The ULL was rotating a lot of bands over us all day, but there's just a lot of cirrus out there currently and the flow of them has slowed a lot. Looking forward to more activity over the next 2 days, though.

Conditions In Your Area From 93L

Began raining near 0200 this morning and kept up until at least 0900 with my yard starting to flood in areas.
Then later on in the morning and early this afternoon had wind gusts up to 35mph for hours on end then sun came out around 4-8pm.
Now continual downpour just began - actually kind of "squally" rain where it blows counter clockwise from the N/E in to my windows - even smells like a storm - LOL.

Re: Conditions In Your Area From 93L

Just took the dog for a walk and it's actually very pleasant here at the moment -- scattered clouds, light wind, and it seems like it's a few degrees cooler than normal for mid-September. Sort of a "calm before the storm" scenario. I expect to wake up to rainy, squally conditions.

Re: 93L Conditions in your Area

Steady rains from where I live, Indialantic all the way into Orlando at work. Last night around 10PM, we had some pretty stiff winds in Indialantic, which seemed to subside a bit when the steady rain started later on.

Re: 93L Conditions in your Area

We've had two really beautiful days here in Sarasota.
Cool(ish), breezy, gorgeous skies and bearable humidity - thanks, for all, to the ULL offshore. Got a 2 inch dump along the coast Tuesday evening, only SCT RW since then.
Dem05 said somewhere recently that this wonderful weather we're having doesn't feel "tropical" to him, but I've lived in the tropics and this is exactly what they feel like, and part of what makes life in the islands seem magical.
...but I wax nostalgic...

Well my old highschool is flooded, schools out for tommorrow, Flagler County got the worst of it so far... It's still raining hard with winds at 20 mph, gusts at 35-40 mph.. surprised this is not a Subtropical Storm, streets are flooded.. haven't seen so much rain since Hurricane Frances swiped through here.

Just north of Gainesville, very cool, only 69. Nice steady rain, no lightning. Could handle this for days.Coming off the Atlantic from what I can see.

Re: 93L Conditions in your Plant City

What a disappointing day here.....just 0.16 in of rain in mists and drizzles. Mostly overcast with fast moving clouds and slightly blustery winds.
Right now here in Plant City:
Skies - cloudy
Wind - N at less than 6 mph
Temp - 71
BP - 29.82 in
Looks like all the rain has gone across north of us today. We need it!

Re: Palm Coast, Flagler County

The statement above is no joke, we got the worst flooding we have ever experienced here in Palm Coast. We normally don't flood, FPC Highschool has also flooded in some areas, which I believe school is closed for tommorrow. I went to investigate the floods, drove to the worst area and found water as high as 4 feet in some areas. In fact, I lost control of the car and the flood steered it for a while, I was able to get out of that situation thank God. It was deffinatly a horrific night, tried to get good pictures, but it was too dark.

We did get some pretty good rainfall during last evening. We got much more overnight. Several tropical downpours. Not sure but we probably got 3+ inches.
