Gabrielle is back on the NHC map and storm warnings are up for the island of Bermuda. After Bermuda there is a strong chance she can make another landfall on Prince Edward Island in the Canadian Maritimes. A strong, constant show of convection all day yesterday and last night was confirmed by an ASCAT pass and advisories were reissued. http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/floaters/07L/imagery/vis_lalo-animated.gif Best she has looked in a long time. And, convection continues to blow up as she heads towards Bermuda. Tracking two storms today and a third possibly forming in the GOM. http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_at2+shtml/113433.shtml?basin#contents This makes the second storm this year that reformed. Dorian reformed earlier in a similar fashion. An interesting season if not an intense one with reference to lack of hurricanes. Still tropics active. |
