A broad area of low pressure associated with a tropical wave is located about 400 miles west-southwest of the Cape Verde Islands. This feature is a little better organized today, and has been Invest tagged: 98L.

Invest 98L is forecast to be in gradually improving environment for further organization, and NHC gives it a 30% chance of becoming a tropical depression within 48 hours.

Movement is currently to the west at about 15 MPH.

(Title changed to reflect upgraded system.)
