Hurrican Locations
      #15376 - Sun Jun 13 2004 08:01 PM

I'm intending in moving to Florida from California, I'm leaving earthquake town for Hurricane alley, my question is, where are the most common areas that hurricanes normally hit in Florida? I intend to move to Orlando. From 1-10 what is the risk factor there? cguicab@hotmail.com I would appreciate direct feedback.

Best regards,

Cali Guy.

I dont think the risk would be too great because you are inland. Even though a hurricane would come inland quite a ways you wouldnt be in as much danger as you would be on the coast. I would give it about a 4

As Spike said, inland areas don't get hit as bad and risk is much lower. For more info, visit this web site that will give you the history for almost any costal city and risk of a direct hit: http://www.hurricanecity.com/Rank.htm
