The link below has pictures of the Pensacola area post Dennis. Click on any of the boxes to see the image. I clicked through a few boxes and didn't see much damage. The barrier island has some good shots of a road pretty much covered with sand.

On that note, storm chaser videos of Hurricane Dennis are out, and they are not too shabby. I think most of the guys went to Pensacola and only got the western quadrants, so keep in mind that this is not the pinnacle of what Dennis was capable of. Charley was definitely more extreme, and I highly recommend the video that the team produced of him. I only wish that I had edited it . I really feel for these people in the Panhandle. Just… man. Here is to no storms of any kind in that region for a good while. One every couple of decades is good for the environment and all, but they really need a break.

You should see Dennis in his own dvd… or with another big storm or two (hopefully not in the same area) in a compilation disk at the end of the season. If South Central Florida gets hit, I plan on releasing a dvd as well of my footage.
Oh yeah… I do not condone storm chasing and neither should you... yada, yada, yada.

Doug Kiesling’s video (scroll down to the bottom to see the hurricane stuff):

Jeff Gammon’s video: (heh, I see he moved inland):
