Yet another line of severe weather in the Twin Cities area.
Uusally they form more N-S but this one is travelling sort of sideways. It's down by Mankato but little bits of it are reforming further north and alreay we're getting spectacular cloud to cloud lightning. It's working its way north and I'm sure the sirens are going to go off in a little bit.

Anything bad? Damage? Severe storms aren't that bad, I enjoy them.

Although tropical weather is the main focus at , there is a forum for other weather events "not associated with tropical cyclones. Can be localized or worldwide in scope..." Even if the subject "doesn't ring your bell" (pun intended), it's appropriate.

You know how in the Twin Cities we had that all-day-all-night SW-to-NE line of thunderstorms from yesterday morning until this morning? Some areas in the state got close to 10 inches of rain, and my city, Burnsville, in Dakota Cty, received 6.76 inches in that 24-hour period.
