Tropical Discussion~excerpts
      #75538 - Thu Jun 14 2007 11:40 AM

Quote:

Here's the thing. We have a disturbed area in the NW Carribean... a few models have been hinting at a weak area of low pressure to develop down near Cuba for a few days now. CMC and what the GFDL was hinting at a tropical storm (possibility) moving thru the EGM by Friday night into Saturday. Last night...we had a low-mid level circulation develop. If the models under-done this just alittle..then we need to go in and get data.

I deffinatly agree.. it has looked a bit more impressive and it's deffinatly not a waste of gas.. I mean people thought Barry was a waste of gas and look how that turned out.. even though it's not recorded in the coordinates, it reached around 50-60 mph. after the first advisory. I am feeling that something will again surprise us in a couple of days.. Most likely, it may track into Florida again lol. Wondering when the NRL will tag it though, they've been very hard on tagging invests so far this year.

The NHC is not saying much about the convection in there outlook. In fact, nothing is said in the outlook. In there Caribbean discussion they talk about 2 upper highs and a possible wave. They also said they may add this wave in the 18Z analysis.
