This Tuesday morning Melbourne radar indicates that a low pressure center has formed just offshore of the east central Florida coast. The system is currently stationary.

This would tend to pull TD9 south as it approaches the Florida coast?

I noticed some banding in the "squalls" coming in off the ocean in the pre-dawn hours this morning, accompanied by gusty E/SE winds. A very welcome 0.57" was measured and entered 8 am on 8/30 for CoCoRaHS Station FL-VL-42, (located in Daytona Beach Shores one block off the Atlantic Ocean).

No I don't think so since the upper level low over the SC/GA coastal area should eventually pull the low, which may be just a transient feature, off to the north and absorb it.
