Very heavy squall band here in Plant City. Tornado warnings just a few miles north of us. Moderate wind but nothing too strong. Waiting until it is closer to put my last boards on...want to be able to see out as long as I can. Open on the north side, south is already buttoned up.

Conditions in Naples: https://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/stationhome.html?id=8725110
Tide running OUT (-2.7 feet) as Irma sucks water offshore. Pressure dropping like a rock.

Local conditions here about the same - wind ESE @ 30 with gust to 40 (seems higher), steady light rain, pressure falling but very slowly, down to 29.4
Water level in street has dropped to almost nothing but normal sized puddles.
Canal in backyard has waves with actual white caps amazing never seen that before but waterway runs E/W so it actually building a swell with these constant E winds. Lots of small branches and leaves down, nothing big yet

Palm Bay - Tornado warnings since 5:30 am as thunderstorms in the bands move on shore. Periods of heavy rain. The ditch out front is already full and the road almost covered. Heavy rain comes and goes. There are some birds in the huge trees out here that are making some awesome calls. I have never heard anything like it.

Winds are really picking up here, starting to see 40 sustained with gusts to 60 reported on local personal weather stations. Not sure how accurate these things are but local news is reporting the same. Radar estimates align as well. Pressure down to 29.3, steady driving heavy rain, over 6.5" accumulation.

Virginia Key (Miami Beach/Key Biscayne) showing 70 mph which is a NOAA station so I know that data is accurate.

Here in Ormond Beach, FL it was a tranquil morning with cloudy skies, only a few drops of rain and light winds. Abruptly about 1:15 PM both rain and wind picked up. We have light but steady rain, winds out of NE steady at 20-30 mph, gusts up to 40-45. A few palm fronds and small branches have come down. I guess this is the onset of tropical storm conditions at my location. Will try to post updated local conditions from time to time until I lose power.

Water is SLOSHing in the toilets, got another 3" of rain in just over an hour, total of nearly 9.6"
Wind is whipping at 50, gusting to nearly hurricane force now, incredible sheets of driving rain, lots of leaves/yard debris, but no trees down that I can see.

Got a small water leak around the frame of a window I have that faces east. If I had to guess its the surf coming off the next house over and going into the frame bolts that hold my shutters up

Steady stream of squall lines moving through Deltona. Winds are around 20MPH, gusts to around 40-ish. Already got about 3 inches of rain (free fill-up for the pool), otherwise pretty calm. Steady stream of traffic on Saxon Blvd, with people treating this more as an afternoon thunderstorm than anything else.

We are in St. Pete. We evacuated our house in Zone A and went to Zone E. Some wind gusts & growling wind. Nothing crazy yet.

We're in the Antioch area of Plant City. So far, the highest wind gust has been 30mph at 4:54pm. Been raining lightly, but steady for awhile. Only 1.73 inches of rain so far.

Satellite Beach on the grand canal. Squalls just like everyone is reporting. Winds getting more robust, maybe 30 sustained with 45 gusts. Water level in the canal is up 10-12 inches, just at the edge of my dock and seawall about to come over. Just for reference if you live here, Matthew pushed water about half way up my yard so flooding should not be an issue for you if Matthew didn't flood your place.

In Plant City, heavy rain for about the past hour off and on (mostly on). Some pretty solid wind gusts I would estimate at around 40 mph...maybe a tad more. Over 2 inches so far. I am waiting to put my last 2 boards on the north side. I hate being totally shut off from seeing outside. If Irma keeps heading north, she may pass east of us which will change my thinking. Interestingly, we have had a stead stream of birds at our feeder all afternoon. Some regulars and some migratories. Tufted Titmice, female House finch, cardinal, a ladderback woodpecker. THEY are not worried about the storm.

Cable TV has gone out in south Cocoa Beach. Internet is still on, so it's not the cable itself. Electricity and cellular are still on. Electricity has been pulsing off for a split second every once in a while. Lots of wind and rain.

Amazing how long this has been going on with conditions about the same. Pressure is down to 29.2 but has become steady. Wind is slowly shifting to the south but still in the same range (40 gusting to 60). Rain has leveled off, just kind of spitting now. Lots of leaves down but nothing like the salad shooter effect we got in Wilma. At one point the wife heard a "thud" and we though our shed had tipped over, so I ran out to look... but it turned out to be a roof mounted WiFi radio antenna system. I had one on my roof too as part of a failed ISP start up but I removed it on Thursday (along with my satellite dish) while putting up the hurricane panels. Apparently my neighbor didn't take his down so Irma did it for him.
