The Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency is actively monitoring Hurricane Florence and is coordinating with our federal, state, local, public and private sector partners to ensure we are ready to respond. The State Operations Center moved to a Level 2 enhanced monitoring operation earlier today. The State Operations Center will adopt a Level 1 full-scale activation as of 7 a.m. on Thurs., Sept. 13.

Governor Nathan Deal has issued a State of Emergency for all 159 Georgia counties.
