For discussion purposes does there appear to be any similarities that Fabian has to Floyd in terms of strengths, and positions. I know that if memory serves me Floyd was very large and Fabian seems smaller and more compact over all. Are there any similar weather patterns or trough formations that are similar to Floyd. The reason I ask this is because I remember that Floyd was at one time forecasted to be taking a direct Aim on Florida and it put some pretty sizable evacuation preparations into operation before the All clear was sounded. I seem to notice that the over all intensity and destination forecast have been very accurate this year. Is there a point in time prior to it passing the 30th latitude when we will know Florida has cleared the gauntlet on Fabian.
Also, on this little weather Skirmish heading to the gulf. I have not read anything seriously predictive on it. IS there anything out there on models that brings it into a system?
