I am west of the NHC track. I think it was just plain silly to discontinue the hurricane watches to the south. My forecast calls for landfall near Wilmington, NC or just to the south, about 60-90 miles south of the NHC forecasted landfall at 36.0N. Think it will come in around 34.5N closer to Wilmington. I am not an expert on locals in that area or the exact coordinates of Wilmington, but that general vicinity (Wilmington) is where I am seeing right now.
Isabel looks pretty similar to me to Bonnie in 1998. Any of you guys in that area for that storm? Good luck to all in her path.
