You could try going through the NCDC (http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/) or Univ. of Wisconsin (http://www.ssec.wisc.edu/data/) for satellite imagery, or use the GOES Browser tool at http://cdo.ncdc.noaa.gov/GOESBrowser/goesbrowser for non-floater imagery from the 1996-2003 seasons, but other than that, I'm not sure there's an archive of the floater data around.
