I like this feature of your maps, but they are not entirely accurate. Even at this time today, 11:45 am CDT, we are experiencing strong sustained winds in the 20-30 mph range with gusts up to 40-50 mph in the Baton Rouge, LA area.
The wind radii ploted on these maps is derived from the official forecast data provided by the NHC and NWS. We just make it look awesome (no modesty).
