Took a lunchtime look, and it appears the center of the broad area of low pressure is hopscotching again and is centered a little more to the east. It seems like conditions are looking favorable for things to come together just a tad to the southwest of the Caymans. Of course this is not what the models show, and I have little experience in understanding the synoptic picture.
