So it doe look like Alberto itself will not be too threatening for our state, if at all. But how about tornadoes? Central Floridians all remember the devastation caused by the tornadoes created by Charlie. What about Alberto - could a very slowly rotating system also spawn-off tornadoes?
If I remember well, we were told that any system crossing the peninsula will create tornades along the Atlantic coast.
Should people in the Daytona Beach - Saint Augustine area be concerned about this?
