He seems to be growing, taking on more of a symetrical look in the core, and expanding on the west side (maybe trying to split since there is a westward path of warmer water?). Certainly his characteristics are changing, albeit not intensity.
I'm certainly not a Met but it sure looks to me like Alberto is trying to head west and taking on the dry air mass.. and winning so far. Maybe it is the water vapor system coming out of Cancun fueling him?
