Wish casting and wish mongering is not scientific nor does it serve any purpose, except for individuals who have a need to be involved in a crisis.
Well, without any forecast at all, we'd be back in the dark ages. At least now we have some concept of how strong a storm currently is, and a bit of a clue, at the very least, about where it is going. That's better than nothing.
8pm advisory is out. New wording which I find... interesting... Reports from an Air Force Reserve unit reconnaissance aircraft indicate that the maximum sustained winds remain near 40 mph...65 km/hr...with higher gusts. Chris could weaken to a depression tonight or on Friday.
Could weaken - not is expected to, but could.
