For the time being I'd imagine the forecast path is going to be a hybrid of Emily and Dennis of last year. Most of the time the NHC doesn't stick to just one model they use a forecast that is an average of all of them. Sticking closest to the AE98, naturally. Just my opinion. As far as it being a storm already I don't think so. We might not get that classification until the LLC gets better wrapped and the pressure drops a little. But for now lets hope it doesn't go in the "hot" zone that created some of the most powerful hurricanes the Atlantic Basin has seen.
