The current track shown is similar to the Galveston storm of 1900. Of course, things can change and if the weakness in the ridge develops then the storm would head toward Florida. One interesting note about the Galveston storm is Cuba thought the storm would go more west (Texas) but the US thought it would track over Florida. Cuba turned out to be right. I guess the models are having the same disagreement at the moment.
