There is alot riding on the recon flight today in regards to TD 5, and with good reason. NHC didn't want to, or felt comfortable enough to upgrade. I don't think Ernesto is far off though. The banding is becoming better, especially on the eastern side. The center still hard to find, but I think they should have no problem finding one today.
Mentions of the shear becoming non existant makes me nervous for anyone along the Gulf Coast. Storm is also slowing down which will give it a better chance to intensify. I do think this soon-to-be hurricane will enter the Gulf...
There is something very disturbing about the annversary of Katrina and a new hurricane falling into the same week...
