Looks like there is some sort of circulation in the radar echoes well to the north of the 15Z advisory location, underneath the deepest convection noted on the IR imagery. Whether or not it is a transient convective feature or has some sort of reflection at the surface, I don't know. There may be other features like this that are out of radar range. Radar velocities are higher in the vicinity of this feature, occasionally exceeding 50 knots inbound at radar beam level.
