From Palm Beach County, FL this morning, the sky is totally overcast and dark to my east. The wierd thing is there is absolutely no wind, which there usually is at this time of day. Convection blowing up nicely just to my east, growing in size, and appears to be stationary. Storms are only 5-10 miles off shore with a very slow drift northward. It is just missing the coast lines of Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. We need the rain badly. I'll be here all day keeping a close eye to my east.

Hurricane activity is increasing and the Red Sox are choking.
