Erika right on track. Pressure remains the same and winds of 50mph is quite generus. Erika will slow some while making landfall just N of brownsville , TX with winds near 60mph. The slowing will occur due to the Ridge N of her weakening some as the Trough over the eastern U.S digs in again.
The Atlantic basin will be become active now starting Sunday into Monday as our next TD ( which I feel is now from data) is south of the Cape Verds. This system should become the next Tropical storm during the week and head towards the N Leeward Islands. Behind that the training affect should continue as I posted yesterday,, the 1st Cat 3 system should emerge behind this a be very strong . Then storms 3-4 in the train will come off behind. Everyone plz be ready for extreme activity from now over the next 3-4 weeks till mid September. scottsvb
