Thanks for pointing this out. I was a little timid to call attention to that, as the low level circulation still seems to be supported by the exposed center. But in recent frames that center opened up to the SW, and I was beginning to wonder if a transition was occurring in that the energy was being left behind as the LLC pulled slowly northward. That may be something to check on for a while. Very confusing situation now as the western end of the trough seems to be generating some noticeable convection.
