I am located in NE Putnam County on the St. Johns River. The river tides are elevated, estimating 18" to 2' above normal and near peak for the time I have lived here (8 years). Today has been frequent rain. As noted in the NWS local statements for our area, the St. Johns is backing up. Just what is needed before a something tropical comes by.
I do not have a weather station, so all observations will be estimates:
Rain: 1" with moderate rain (I do have a gage) Wind at the river: ~10 MPH with higher gusts. Waves: 1-2
I will check the channel markers at high tide to see how high we are running on the next one.
