A Flash Flood Watch is currently in effect across southern
Middle Tennessee.


DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 1000 PM CDT (0300 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Beta
was located near latitude 34.0 North, longitude 87.1 West. The
post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the northeast near 12 mph (19
km/h) and this motion is expected to continue through Friday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 25 mph (35 km/h) with higher gusts.
Continued slow weakening is forecast before weakening into the
frontal zone later Friday

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1008 mb (29.77 inches).


HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND
----------------------
Rainfall: Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are expected through
Friday from the upper Tennessee Valley, across the Southern
Appalachians and into the remainder of the Carolinas. Isolated
flash, urban, and small stream flooding is possible, as well as
isolated minor river flooding.
