At 500 AM AST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Fiona was
located near latitude 17.6 North, longitude 42.7 West. Fiona is
moving toward the west-northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h), and this
general motion with some increase in forward speed is expected over
the next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some weakening is forecast to begin this weekend.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).
