DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 500 AM AST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Lisa was
located near latitude 17.5 North, longitude 32.2 West. Lisa is
moving toward the northwest near 9 mph (15 km/h), and this general
motion is expected to continue over the next 48 hours.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 50 mph (85 km/h) with
higher gusts. Some additional strengthening is possible today, but
steady weakening is expected to begin by Thursday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 125 miles (205 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches).
