DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 1100 AM AST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Lisa was
located near latitude 24.7 North, longitude 38.8 West. Lisa is
moving toward the northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h). A west-
northwestward to northwestward motion is forecast during the next
day or so. A turn toward the north is expected by late Sunday.


Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
Gradual weakening is forecast, and Lisa is expected to become a
post-tropical cyclone by tonight.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 80 miles (130 km)
north of the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1008 mb (29.77 inches).
