DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 500 AM AST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Nineteen was located near latitude 28.9 North, longitude 50.2 West. The depression is moving toward the east near 6 mph (9 km/h). However, a turn toward the north-northeast or north is expected later today, and this general motion is forecast to continue through Tuesday. Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and the depression is expected to become a tropical storm later today.
