DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1100 PM AST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Chantal was located near latitude 37.8 North, longitude 41.9 West. Chantal is moving toward the southeast near 7 mph (11 km/h) and is expected to slowly make a clockwise loop through Sunday. Maximum sustained winds remain near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Weakening is forecast, and the depression is expected to degenerate into a remnant low Friday night. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1010 mb (29.83 inches).
