Issued at 1030 PM EDT Thu Apr 4 2024 Currently - Very comfortable conditions prevail in wake of last mornings late season cold front. Temperatures have fallen modestly since the upper 70s recorded this morning in the Keys. Temperatures are now broadly in the lower 70s. Dew points, on the other hand, have plunged from the mid 70s to near 60. The cold front has swept stable conditions across the area. While skies remain partly cloudy due to lower to mid level decks, all recent reflectivities are weak and relegated to the distant Florida Straits. Short Term Update - High pressure across the Gulf of Mexico will maintain gentle to moderate northwest to northerly breezes across the Keys through the overnight period. This will maintain an influx of increasingly cool and dry air. Expect overnight lows to range broadly in the upper 60s with dew points possibly slipping a degree or two. Satellite imagery and upstream observations appear agree that the usual post cold front stratocumulus has not been very prolific.
