The National Weather Service in Wakefield has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Wicomico County in southeastern Maryland...

* Until 600 AM EST.

* At 347 AM EST, radar and gauge reports indicated heavy rain
  falling across the warned area. Between 2.5 and 4.5 inches of rain
  have fallen. Flash flooding is likely ongoing.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

  SOURCE...Gauges reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Salisbury, Fruitland, Salisbury University, Delmar, Hebron,
  Parsonsburg, Pittsville, Mardela Springs, Shad Point, Lakewood,
  Eden, Catchpenny, Allen, Chesapeake Heights, Trinity,
  Salisbury-Wicomico, Green Hill, Royal Oak, Melson and Wetipquin.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
