Didn't I hear a report on FOX that some schools were closing and Key West was going to evacuation orders

Broward County government offices will be closed tomorrow.

Indian River County government offices will be closed at 1PM tomorrow and all day wednesday.

If anyone hears about South Carolina or North Caroline road closings on Thursday, please post here. I'll check with AAA, but I'm sure some of the folks on this board will have more up-to-date info. Yup! We're driving up to NC on Thursday.

Three Brevard county schools which serve as special needs shelters will close at 1pm Tuesday. Sherwood elementary is one, but I don't know the other two offhand.

Viera - Due to Tropical Storm Ernesto possibly becoming a hurricane, three Brevard Public Schools will close early to become special needs hurricane shelters on Tuesday, August 29th at 1 p.m. The schools are:

Sherwood Elementary, located at 2541 Post Road , Melbourne ;
Oak Park Elementary, located at 3395 Dairy Road , Titusville ;
Ralph M. Williams Jr. Elementary, located at 1700 Clubhouse Drive , Rockledge

Not much news from Indian River County. Only info I know is that schools ARE OPEN Tuesday, but will be closed on Wednesday. (Sure do miss all the info Nate McCollum provided for these storms)

Any info on if the Ft Lauderdale airport is closing tomorrow? I have a flight from San Francisco that is supposed to land there around 440 PM; seems to be cutting it close. Thanks!

University of Central Florida Brevard campus is closed Wednesday; they will make a determination on the other campuses after the provost's meeting today. I"m not driving to Orlando tomorrow anyway :P

Osceola County Public Schools closed tomorrow. Not really a surprize, buses cant run in over 35 MPH winds.
Guess I will be able to help with Ham radio nets durng the storm after all

Brevard County Schools are closed Wednesday, August 30th. All courthouses in Brevard and Seminole counties are closed Wednesday August 30th as well.

Clarification: Not sure if the courthouses/clerk's offices will remain open in Brevard and Seminole or not, but all court proceedings are cancelled for Wednesday.
