There a bunch of "desktop" weather programs out there, including ones from weather.com, accuweather.com, wunderground & intellicast as well as NBC. Most of them aren't really any good, as they basically only tell you the temp. and the five-day forecast. If you don't want the accuweather pro, go to a computer store and look for some software. There are numerous programs out there dealing with all aspects of the weather, many of which hook up with the Internet and provide a wealth of real-time data; I don't use it anymore, as the software is ancient, but at one time I had hurricane tracking software; now the models on most of the sites are much better. But for a time, it was pretty schweet.
