As a Miamian of 49 years I couldn't agree more. Except for the occasional hurricane and the 90+ humid summer afternoons,, the weather here is pretty nice most of the time, particularly this time of year. However on a serious note, cold weather in Florida can be dangerous, particulary to the elderly. We might have storm shutters and houses to withstand a cat3 hurricane, but what we don't have is storm windows or adequate heating. Even a "mild" cold spell in the 40's can be difficult to deal with.
