Within the post itself there does not appear to be any contradiction since the post also mentions that "Jupiter's Great Red Spot ... does not have the eye and eye-wall that mark out a hurricane." However there is contradiction amongst scientists regarding that point, i.e., some still consider Jupiter's Great Red Spot to be a hurricane and that the eye and eyewall cannot be visually observed because of higher layers of gaseous clouds.
