18z gfs goes over Key West, then weak landfall near Venice, FL early Sunday morning, crosses state, exits by Jacksonville Sunday night and rides up the Georgia Coastline just offshore then moves out a bit and stalls a good ways offshore of SC/NC for days. One important thing to note the GFS latches onto the northern lobe of the system currently near Hispaniola, if that doesn't take off, it's likely too far north/east. If it does it's fairly likely. Timing on the stall is something that will still make this difficult, especially we don't have a formed storm yet! 18z icon landfalls near Steinhatchee in the BIg Bend Monday morning and exits into the Atlantic near Brunswick Georgia Tuesday morning, where it sits just offshore for the rest of the run. |
