Dennis Turns North

In my last last advisory I forecasted Hurricane Dennis turn to the NNW and then north and moved my landfall window from Pensacola to Fort Walton Beach over to Fort Walton Beach to Panama City.

It appears that Dennis has now done so, with a dramatic right turn that is in reaction to changes in the steering flow. His rapid strengthening to a CAT 3 cyclone is due to traversing 88-90 deg. surface water temperature now, versus the 80-82 deg. eddy he was over earlier in the day.

I will post more when I have more time.
